Melbourne W. Cummings Endowed

Purpose: Assist UNH in recruiting and retaining a diverse student body by providing scholarship awards to non-NH resident undergraduate students. Criteria under which awards may be made include diversity of cultural or ethnic background, academic achievement, special talent, and/or financial need. The donor’s intent is for awards to be large enough to reduce the discrepancy between NH resident and non-NH resident student costs and to renew those awards through the recipients’ qualifying years of undergraduate study.
