Captain Benjamin D. Keating Memorial Fund

PURPOSE: Merit-based stipends for up to 3 undergraduate Classics majors. CRITERIA: Recipients must combine an excellent academic record with a demonstrated commitment to community service and citizen-ship in the broadest sense, on every level from the local to the international. SELECTION: Made on a rolling basis throughout the year by tenure-track Classics faculty. NOTE: Awards are intended to cover research expenses, including travel, to build a personal academic library or otherwise further their academic development, or to pursue further service opportunities. They are not intended to subsidize tuition while in residence in Durham.
