Donald Harley Scholarship

PURPOSE: Scholarships for a sophomore or junior student leaders who belong to one of the Student Activity Fee Organizations. CRITERIA: Students must have particpated in a student org for at least 6 months and must demonstrate strong leadership qualities as defined by the following characteristics: dedication to a concrete goal; ability to work cooperatively with others; self-discipline; willingness to share the credit for achievements; courage to take calculated risks; inner drive and perserverance; humility; academic excellence as demonstrated by a GPA of 2.5 or better at the time of nomination. SELECTION: Scholarship recipients will be chosen by a committee of University staff, faculty, and student leaders, under the direction of the Vice President for Student and Academic Services through the Student Organization Awards Committee or other such committee deemed appropriate by the Vice President. The Chair of the Student Organization Awards Committee will be responsible for determining the nomination and selection process in accordance with the criteria detailed herein. The UNH Financial Aid Office will be responsible for administering all awards from this fund.
