Richard B. Johnston Forestry Scholarship
PURPOSE: Renewable scholarships for upperclassmen enrolled in COLSA’s Natural Resources and the Environment program majoring in Forestry. The most important factor in selection is the students’ enthusiasm for the forestry field. Recipients must have a 2.0 minimum GPA. Transfer students from a 2-year technical program identifiable through their interest in the forestry field are eligible. All recipients will be known as Johnston Scholars. SELECTION: Richard B. Johnston Memorial Awards Committee NOTE: While the majority of the available income should be used for the scholarship, the awards committee may determine an amount for the purchase of books for an outstanding forestry major. All books so purchased will be identified as given in memory of Richard B. Johnston and as a part of the Richard B. Johnston Memorial Award.
