Thomas O. Marshall Fund

PURPOSE: Merit-based scholarships awarded to one or more M. Ed. students who must “demonstrate good graduate standing; pursue philosophical theory as a guide to practical action; evince a deep sense of responsibility and commitment; enjoy and respect a diversity of feeling, thought, and action; and relate gently and positively to people.” The recipients will be known as the Thomas O. Marshall Scholars. Application is made to the Department of Education.
SELECTION: Selection Committee composed of 3 faculty members, one of whom teaches philosophy of education — one full professor, one associate professor, and one assistant professor — appointed annually by the Chairman of the Department of Education.
