William Weaver Memorial Scholarship

This Fund is administered by a Board of Trustees, on behalf of the New Hampshire Good Roads Association, whose responsibility it is to see that monies are given to aid students in Civil Engineering with an interest in its highway-related fields. Applications for scholarship funds must be made to the UNH Department of Civil Engineering and must include a statement of the student’s professional interest in the field of Civil Engineering and its highway-related fields; a statement of his/her reasons for desiring the award; as well as a statement indicating financial need. Transcripts must also be presented as part of the application. Preference shall be given to residents of New Hampshire. Greater consideration will be given to upper-classmen, in descending order, and preference shall be given to continuing students who have received the award in previous years. Nominations by the Civil Engineering faculty, based primarily on a promise and professional interest in Civil Engineering and its highway-related fields, will be submitted to the William H. Weaver Memorial Scholarship Fund’s Trustees no later than April 1st of each year for final selection. The trustees of the William H. Weaver Memorial Scholarship will meet no less than annually to determine the award(s) to be given for the ensuing academic year. Candidate(s) will be notified by the Trustees and the Chairperson of the Dept. of Civil Engineering is responsible for informing the UNH Financial Aid Office of the Trustees’ decision.
